JEFF BUCKLEY Live at Sin-é
Jeff Buckley performed at Sin-é, a small coffee place in New York's East Village, in the early 1990s.

This album is again proof of what a great talent Jeff Buckley was and why people are still saddened by his untimely death at the age of 30 in May 1997. This two-disc set was recorded before he released his now famous Grace album. He sings songs that would find their way to the Grace album and also sings covers of Billie Holiday's "Strange Fruit", Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". "Hallelujah" would make its way to the Grace album and forever be associated with Mr. Buckley.

Some people say this shouldn't be your first Jeff Buckley album because it is not a perfect studio recording like Grace. I would say that Live at Sin-é gives you a sampling of the man's personality, a taste of his musical influences and his inspired creativity.
